The subject of criticism in this book is not the institution of parliament. Nor is it the arithmetic majority that constitutes the parliament. With this book, only an irresponsible minority that hinders parliamentary work and prevents the free discussion of national and global issues on the podiums has been criticized; the ugliness displayed by this minority has been brought to attention.
For today's conditions where the parliament has almost been eliminated and turned into a mere theatrical performance, the book can be seen as an early critique. Uğur Mumcu's foresight is commendable when read from today's perspective.
