I said controversy. However, Uğur Mumcu doesn't lose objectivity when delving into the issues. Because he always maintains his intellectual stance in the face of the problem, the controversy remains merely as a flavour.
In personal debates, or rather conflicts with individuals, his controversial side ruthlessly rears its head. He speaks quite harshly. Yet, we witness that he doesn't resort to demagogy even here. The writer, journalist, especially the humourist, doesn't rely on this indispensable weapon. Is it because he doesn't need to? Perhaps.
